I just created a congregational arrangement of Love Lifted Me.

The verse will be available tomorrow!  I will write the chorus asap!

I wanted to give church pianists fill-in ideas for a peppy 6/8 hymn 🙂

Standing on the Promises is now available!   I had a hard time settling on the ending so….I shared two endings!

Both the original (early advanced) and simplified version (late intermediate) are included. Two for the price of one!

Since there wasn’t a lot of changes….I just included the simple version with the original.

Have fun deciding which version you like 🙂

I’m adding the final touches to “Standing on the Promises” early advanced piano arrangement!

The arrangement consists of a brief intro, two verses, two choruses and a short ending with a steep climb up the keyboard!

The ending of this piece sounds different than anything I’ve ever done but just seems to fit.

I hope to publish Standing on the Promises by September 4th.

I just published a late intermediate level piano solo of “I Need Thee Every Hour with the chorus of Close to Thee.

The words to both hymns remind me to have total dependence on God.

I’ve always enjoyed pairing I Need Thee with the chorus of Close to Thee.

What a reminder for us all…a call of total dependence on God!

Our God is gracious and tender!  He wants us to call on Him.

I pray you have all called on God to be your Savior.

I could not imagine life without Him!

When I got saved at the age of 29…the lyrics of the hymns took on a whole new meaning.

Wow!  This arrangement of Make Me a Blessing  was literally a handful to write …but fun too!

Have you ever thought about the mood of verse one?  The lyrics are on the sad side for the first part of the first verse.

So, I began in a minor key and then transitioned to Major key as the words depicted.

You need long fingers to reach some of the chords….especially the tenth chord in the left hand on the third page.

No worries…it’s a “rolled” chord 😉

Make Me a Blessing

Very advanced sacred piano solo arranged by Jenifer Cook. Contains: intro, verse, chorus, 2nd verse and chorus with ending. Began in C minor and then to C Major, D Major and F Major! Approx. length 2:45

Final touches have been added to the sheet music for Make Me a Blessing (very advanced piano solo).

This is a four page arrangement.  I  began in c minor to match the mood of the text and then when the text grows brighter….and soars into C Major!

Here’s a peek at page three….(please excuse the misaligned left hand note in the first measure).

This is a rough draft 🙂   Not much left to finalize the entire piece.

My playlist of ten hymns will be taken from the old “Broadman Hymnal”. (pictured below)

There will be a mystery hymn in my playlist.  I tried to make it a little easier to guess this time…hopefully 😉
