Interview with Lynndale Hardeman (Author of God Can)

Friday, April 26th, 2024

I really enjoyed my recent visit with Lynndale Hardeman via Zoom!

Lynndale is the wife of a retired Pastor.  They spent a number of years in Georgia and then twenty years in Alabama where her husband pastored a church.

Now they reside in Texas near family.

Lynndale is known for her following songs: God Can and Thou Art Worthy.

There’s a third song by Lynndale that we have used in our church MANY times as a vocal solo…entitled….”God Has Provided a Lamb”.

I’m working on a solo/duet arrangement of this song that I hope to publish very soon!  I will let everyone know as soon as I publish it.

See video interview below to meet Lynndale Hardeman.

Mother’s Day Song

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024

Time to start practicing for a Mother’s Day special!  Our ladies and young girls are going to sing “My Mother” this year.

There’s a total of three verses.  The song also has a chorus.

Verse one and two sound best for the ladies.  Verse three is appropriate for the young girls. (Ages 4 through teens)

The girls will join in on all the choruses.

We start rehearsing this Sunday until the day we sing on Mother’s Day.

FREE Sacred Piano Arrangement: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”

Wednesday, February 28th, 2024

I shared a post a couple of years ago of me playing “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” excerpt from my congregational playing at my church.

A good handful of you have expressed interest in that arrangement.  I tried to duplicate the arrangement into written form.

This particular arrangement is accompaniment style only… not compatible as a piano solo.

Click on the following title to download this free piano congregational arrangement.

Sacred Vocal Arrangements by Reece Yandle

Tuesday, February 27th, 2024

Some of you may know my Dad, Reece Yandle. He passed away in June of 2022 at the age of 85.

I would like to host a tribute to Dad and his  music in the near future.

It has been difficult to do so just yet but I will begin preparing

I miss him SO much but thankful for the music legacy he left behind about his Lord.

I’m honored to share his sacred vocal music here on my website. ( I do have some of Dad’s songs on youtube.)

I’ve entered five of his songs in my music store for the time being….and will publish more as time allows.

One of the sacred vocal solo songs entitled “Cleft of the Rock” has been a comfort to me s I sift through Dad’s music for the first time since his homegoing.

“In the cleft of the Rock is my refuge, He doth cover me there with His hand.

Though the storms of this life may beset me.

On the Rock of His promise I stand.”

Sacred Christmas Vocal Special: Hallelujah Christ is Born!

Thursday, December 14th, 2023

This has become my favorite Christmas vocal solo.  My Dad wrote this at least ten years ago.

I like the minor key for the verses with a great story line about God’s birth to his death followed by a triumphant chorus proclaiming “Hallelujah! Christ is Born!”

Our men of the choir really like singing this piece!

Hallelujah Christ is Born
Low to medium range sacred Christmas vocal solo; 4 pgs *Price covers two copies. The haunting melody of this selection takes our Lord from the manger to the cross.

Easy-Piano-Christmas Congregationals-Late-Elementary

Tuesday, November 21st, 2023

Last year, I wrote out the following arrangements for my late elementary to early intermediate student who covered for me while I was out of town on a Sunday.

I created arrangements that would be easy for my student to learn in time to play. The student I’m speaking about is our Pastor’s daughter.  She is now a true early intermediate and enjoys taking part in our music ministry.   I’m excited with her progress!   Would love to share what all she’s been doing  but will save that for her interview after Thanksgiving.

Each of these arrangements include an introduction.  The songs are also in a lower key for the benefit of our congregation.  Our congregation sings out SO much more when we lower the hymns. These arrangements can be used for piano solos or congregational singing!
