God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Monday, September 28th, 2015I published a late intermediate arrangement of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen a couple years ago. I was needing an early intermediate arrangement of this Christmas song for one of my piano students to play for recital this year…so…got up around 5 am last week and this one just flowed.
It’s not very long because we like short and sweet recitals 😉 The shorter solo also allows time for the student to learn a piano duet with me for the recital.
Early Advanced Christmas Piano Solo: Away in a Manger Medley

I call this my homespun style….just wrote straight from my heart. Hope it’s a blessing to you.

Wednesday, November 19th, 2014“Down From His Glory” Rest of the Arrangement
Thursday, May 15th, 2014Down From His Glory requires ALOT of ad lib from the church pianist when accompanying someone to sing this hymn.
I could not help but add runs during the chorus due to the frequent held words. The fingering for the runs is included 🙂
I plan to create an audio of the piano accompaniment as time allows.

Free Congregational Piano Arrangement: Joy to the World
Saturday, November 23rd, 2013A reader recently requested a piano congregational arrangement for “Joy to the World”. I had almost forgotten about having this arrangement. I am forever writing music of some sort and it’s easy to forget what I have 🙂
This is a rather straightforward arrangement of “Joy to the World”…no frills but enough fill-ins to add zest to the congregational singing for this joyous hymn about Jesus’ birth. Hope it’s a help to church pianists looking for congregational arrangements.

O Holy Night in B Flat Major
Saturday, December 22nd, 2012The wide note range of O Holy Night makes for a challenging vocal solo!
B Flat Major seems to be a comfortable; reasonable key when singing “O Holy Night”. Therefore, I will provide a FREE copy of O Holy Night in this key.
Keep in mind…I’ve already shared this arrangement on my free Christmas music page in the key of A flat major. I simply transposed the same arrangement to B flat major. The key of B flat major works great for a male solo or duet.  Sopranos like this key too because the high notes are easier to reach.
See video below of a male vocal duet I recently played for…using the key of B flat major for O Holy Night. Special note: I used a different arrangement 🙂
