This has become my favorite Christmas vocal solo. My Dad wrote this at least ten years ago.
I like the minor key for the verses with a great story line about God’s birth to his death followed by a triumphant chorus proclaiming “Hallelujah! Christ is Born!”
Our men of the choir really like singing this piece!
Low to medium range sacred Christmas vocal solo; 4 pgs *Price covers two copies.
The haunting melody of this selection takes our Lord from the manger to the cross.
Last year, I wrote out the following arrangements for my late elementary to early intermediate student who covered for me while I was out of town on a Sunday.
I created arrangements that would be easy for my student to learn in time to play. The student I’m speaking about is our Pastor’s daughter. She is now a true early intermediate and enjoys taking part in our music ministry. I’m excited with her progress! Would love to share what all she’s been doing but will save that for her interview after Thanksgiving.
Each of these arrangements include an introduction. The songs are also in a lower key for the benefit of our congregation. Our congregation sings out SO much more when we lower the hymns. These arrangements can be used for piano solos or congregational singing!
Five Late elementary Christmas congregational arrangements.
Each arrangement includes an introduction.
These arrangements can be used as piano solos or congregational singing.
Song list:
Away in a Manger,
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,
O Come All Ye Faithful,
Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne,
What Child is This?
Merry Christmas to you all! I’m sharing the edited version of my recent Facebook Live event…December 20th 2022
Suggestion: If you want to see the links to available sheet music for some of the pieces I played….First….enlarge the video below and click the word “youtube” on this video. Once you’re viewing this video on youtube…see the sheet music links in the video description underneath the video.
Sorry but I have not had the time to input a lot of music into sheet music this Christmas. Here’s a quickie for the elementary level of Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
I wrote it for my ten year old grandson to play at this year’s recital and offertory at church.
He enjoyed learning it…especially the intro and big bass ending!
The arrangement consists of an intro, verse, chorus and ending…all in the key of F Major.
Christmas piano solo (elementary level) Two pages in the key of F Major.
I wrote this for my ten year old grandson to play for recital and for offertory. He especially enjoyed the intro and big bass ending!
Just thought I would show you a peek of Allissa, one of my piano students, who I’m training to be a church pianist.
She is doing very well! I write the songs for her to play at her level so she can already be getting “hands on” experience before she’s even playing out the hymnal. She has been doing some reading from the church hymnal.
In the following raw video…Allissa is practicing with a young girl’s group while the choir loft is being decorated for this Wednesday night’s annual Christmas play by the kids of our church. Looking forward to the program! Our youth Pastor’s wife writes a play for each year! She is very talented!

One of my viewers recently asked permission to play my arrangement of The First Noel for her church since they were livestreaming their service.
She did such a wonderful job that I just had to share it. Tamara played it slower than I would have but I kind of like it that way because it allows for more note clarity and expression.
Thanks Tamara Kim for your wonderful playing. You are a blessing! Beautiful expression too!
