No One Understands Like Jesus: Published Today!
Thursday, July 7th, 2022Hope you all enjoy playing this arrangement of No One Understands Like Jesus. It’s the first arrangement I’ve written since my Dad passed away in June of 2022.
I thought my heart would ache too much to write after Dad’s passing but God has given me more compassion over the old hymns of the faith because they mean so much more now!
This particular advanced sacred piano solo is geared to the advanced church pianist. I’ve included four long runs for the right hand. Tip: Practice the runs S_L_O_W until they begin to flow and then slowly insert the run into its surrounding measures until you’ve mastered each run.
Easter Vocal Solo: When I Looked Up to the Cross
Thursday, April 7th, 2022“When I Looked up to the Cross” is one of my most favorite songs written by my Dad, Reece Yandle.
This particular vocal solo is perfect for Easter. I love the phrase, “When I looked up to the cross and gaze on His face. That’s when I thank Him for His love and His grace.” It’s such a powerful song about the death and resurrection of Jesus. Click HERE to see Dad singing this piece.
Dad has another Easter type song entitled “Nevertheless Thy Will be Done” that’s also a great selection around Easter time. I arranged both of these songs of Dad’s. However, this second piece is only available through Lorenz who is now under GIA Publications. The lyrics to this reflective song… opens with a scene of Jesus kneeling in the garden of Gethsemane and his heart-rending prayer…”Let this cup pass from me…nevertheless Thy will be done.” The final phrase is “Thus cried the Savior God’s own Son, nevertheless Thy will be done.”
Also note, “Nevertheless Thy Will be Done”, is in a vocal book from various authors.
I do have another vocal arrangement in the same book written by one of my youth directors, Rusty Dillard, and it’s also a great song about the story of Joseph.

Nevertheless Thy Will be Done (offsite product) The name of this book is called “No Greater Love”.

Showers of Blessing by Jenifer Cook
Thursday, March 31st, 2022About a year ago…I happened across this video of my two piano arrangement for “Showers of Blessing” on youtube.
This peppy two piano hymn arrangement is great for prelude, offertory or postlude. I enjoy playing piano with others!
Thanks to Lisa and Andy for doing a good job on this two piano arrangement of “Showers of Blessing”. See link below for the sheet music.
The Cleansing Wave (easy two to three part mixed) Choir Arrangement
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022Finished! I’ve had this arrangement of “The Cleansing Wave” on the burner for quite some time.
I would like to thank Abby Phillips Lockaby for adding the violin accompaniment. She made it sound SOOOO pretty!
I didn’t do justice to her part but tried my best.
New Ladies’ Two Part Arrangement
Monday, February 21st, 2022I’ve been fine tuning two vocal arrangements to use around Easter time.
The first one is complete! It’s a fairly easy two part ladies’ arrangement of “Jesus Paid it All” by John T. Grape.
I usually schedule at least 6 practices for this selection to make sure we have time to work on the expression once the notes are learned.
I’ll do my best to provide a video of this piece asap.
The second vocal arrangement of “The Cleansing Wave” is actually a two-part mixed choir piece with an optional beautiful violin accompaniment created by one of my music friends….(Abby Phillips) Lockaby. She added just the right texture/sound to this flowing arrangement. I’ll share an audio sample of the piano and violin score this week.
The First Noel (advanced piano arrangement)
Tuesday, December 14th, 2021One of my viewers recently asked permission to play my arrangement of The First Noel for her church since they were livestreaming their service.
She did such a wonderful job that I just had to share it. Tamara played it slower than I would have but I kind of like it that way because it allows for more note clarity and expression.
Thanks Tamara Kim for your wonderful playing. You are a blessing! Beautiful expression too!

O Come All Ye Faithful (Advanced Piano Solo)
Thursday, December 2nd, 2021I published this advanced piano solo of O Come All Ye Faithful back in 2016.
Recently, a reader asked if I would share this arrangement on my Youtube channel.
It took a bit of practice for me to work up this recording. It’s not way difficult but has a lot of four note chords throughout for the right hand.
My favorite part is the soft section on page three leading up to the grand exit!
