My Dad

This is our first Christmas without my Dad.  He’s with Jesus, the Savior of the world. WHAT a thot!

One of my fondest memories as a young girl was singing around the piano with family & friends at this time of year.

As the years passed, fewer times like this ever happened.  I cherish the few times we did get together around the piano in later years.

Here’s one of those recent times from about a year ago…one of the last times I played for my Dad here on this earth.

I cann0t play this song now without hearing my Dad pour his heart and soul into every word about his dear Savior!

Dad always sang… as though he were speaking.

I’m so thankful to my parents for exposing me to godly music during my upbringing.

Cherished memories! My Dad, too, was a singer. He had the most beautiful, velvet bass voice. He sang in gospel quartets for as long as I can remember. Throughout his life he recorded many albums and live concerts. Dad passed away in 2019. Dementia took most of his mind away the last few years of his life, but anytime he heard his music being played or the Bible being quoted his face would light up. His love for Jesus never faltered, even when he was no longer able to speak. I’m glad you have those recorded memories of your father.
