I originally wrote this arrangement for one of my piano students and then forgot about it.  This arrangement of “Lead Me to Calvary”makes an excellent choice for the Lord’s supper, Lent, offertory or another devotional time in your service.

Late Intermediate Sacred Piano Solo: “He Hideth My Soul”

Monday, June 3rd, 2019

I’m making another one of my sacred piano arrangements, “He Hideth My Soul” from the “Funeral Collection” available as a single arrangement.

At least several of my sacred piano solos from my “Funeral Collection” are sold separately.

Recently while on vacation, I recorded four more songs from my Funeral Collection: He Hideth My Soul, Sweet by and by Medley, Trusting Jesus Medley and Wonderful Peace.

New Sacred Piano Solo: There is a Fountain

Tuesday, March 26th, 2019

I loved writing this arrangement because I wrote how I felt like expressing it at the time.  When I try to structure my pieces…it sometimes stifles my creativity.

But….structure is also good because it makes the piece more playable…without awkward leaps and such.

I have SO many favorite hymns and “There is a Fountain” is on that list!

I tried to depict an overflowing fountain in the beginning and ended with a different twist…still sounding as a fountain.

This piece is geared to the early to moderately advanced church pianist. The entire arrangement stays in the key of C but contains a lot of full chords.

There is a Fountain
Early to Moderately Advanced Sacred Piano Solo, Approx. 1:40
Price: $3.95

Just published an early intermediate sacred piano arrangement of Day by Day.

I’ve had it written for a while but just got around to publishing it.

This particular piano arrangement was written for one of my students who plays offertories at her church.

She considers this one of her favorites. I’ll try to get video of her soon playing this arrangement.

Just Published! Intermediate Sacred Piano Solo “Come Ye Sinners Poor and Needy”

Tuesday, August 30th, 2016

I wrote “Come Ye Sinners Poor and Needy” piano arrangement for one of my former male students who loved playing hymns in minor keys.

He’s now a college student but considers this his all-time favorite. This particular arrangement was written with the piano student in mind…along with ample finger suggestions.

You’ll notice a more structured arrangement here to aid the intermediate church pianist.

Come Ye Sinners Poor and Needy
Early intermediate sacred piano solo, arranged by Jenifer Cook, 3 & 1/2 pgs. Written for the student in mind with ample fingering suggestions. Well-structured for easy learning. This piece does have a slight celtic flair. I wrote this for one of my former male piano students who LOVED hymns in minor keys. He's in college now but still considers this his all-time favorite.
Price: $3.50

What am I doing now?  Inputting my congregational arrangements for the second booklet and creating sample audios for another great sacred piano solo book from Lorenz called He Leadeth Me.

He Leadeth Me is a nice collection of sacred piano solo arrangements by various arrangers, some I’m not as familiar with… but enjoy their style.

I hope to share a book review on He Leadeth Me this coming week.
