Church Pianist Humorous Story

LOL!  Funniest thing happened this past Sunday morning during choir rehearsal.

This past week was a very challenging week and I wasn’t in a stable frame of mind evidently.

My son, who is our choir leader, had the choir practice “Till the Storm” from the church hymnal.   We rehearsed the middle verse…ladies would sing first half and men would join on last half of verse.  It was time for the men to join in and all singing stopped.  Something wasn’t right.  All eyes on me. Oh no!  One of the ladies looked at me with a smirk on her face and said, “You’re playing Little is Much!”  I was SO embarrassed but couldn’t resist joining in the laughter of the whole choir….including my son.

How in the world does “Little is Much” work for the melody of “Till the Storm”!?   I made it happen! 😉  Why “Little is Much”?  It was my offertory that morning and I guess the melody was on my mind. 😉
