Patriotic Vocal Solos by Reece Yandle

There seems to be a shortage of patriotic theme songs.

My Dad, Reece Yandle, wrote both of these soul-stirring patriotic solos that are easy-to-learn in a short time.

Both tunes are very singable.

This is America &  In God We Trust

    Hello. I was just wondering, I have never been to the USA in my life and I do not hold an American passport or citizenship…Does this mean that in order to be a Christian, I need to pledge my allegiance to the USA? And does God love me less because I do not belong to the United States? I am asking because I am exploring Christian lifestyles and whether to give my life to Jesus….but if He only accepts Americans then there’s not much point me carrying on reading my Bible study. Thank you. PS I also play the piano.

      David,

      I can assure you that being a Christian has nothing to do with the country you live in or pledge your allegiance to. It has nothing to do with how many good deeds you may have done or anything else in your background. It is about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Don’t just take my word for it. The Bible has much to say about it. I have included several verses from the Bible that tell the story.

      It starts with recognizing the fact that we are all sinners.

      Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

      Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

      This sin has separated us from God. The penalty is death and an eternity in a place called hell. God doesn’t want us do die and go to hell, but the penalty must be paid.

      Rom 6:23a For the wages of sin is death;

      There is nothing we can do to satisfy that penalty. No amount of good works will get us to heaven. That is why he sent his son Jesus Christ to die in our place. He paid the penalty for us.

      Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

      Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

      Rom 6:23b but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

      Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

      That gift of God is free to anyone no matter what they may done or where they live.

      Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

      John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

      So as I said in the beginning, being a Christian has nothing to do with the country you live in or pledge your allegiance to. It has nothing to do with how many good deeds you may have done or anything else in your background. It is about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To become a Christian, you simply need to pray to God. Acknowledge you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Ask him for forgiveness of your sin and for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. That gift is freely given to anyone that truly desires it.

      Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

      I hope this answers your question. And I hope you will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept him as your Savior. I am praying that you will.

        Thank you for your reply Jenifer, and your Bible references, which I have looked up. However, I cannot help reading the link, reading the Pledge of Allegiance contained on the page and wondering if I do have to pledge my allegiance to America as well as to Jesus. What exactly is the link between loyalty to Jesus and loyalty to America? I don’t follow.

        David,

        Sorry it took so long to respond. It has been a very unusual week. The pledge of allegiance that you saw is a patriotic pledge for citizens of the United States. It was used in conjunction with a promotion of two patriotic songs at the time of a particular national holiday. It is a pledge of allegiance to our flag and country. It speaks of 52 states joined together as one nation subject to God’s authority. It has nothing to do with any kind of requirement to become a Christian.

        John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

        There is no link to loyalty to America or any country as a requirement to become a Christian. It is a gift that can only come from God through Jesus and is available to anyone who will put their trust in him.

        Romans 6:23b but the gift God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

        John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosover believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
