Heavenly Sunlight (New) Advanced Piano Solo

Now for a fast paced upbeat arrangement of Heavenly Sunlight!  I love this old hymn which reminds Christians that God will never fail them no matter what is happening in their lives.

I chose to arrange verse one and two for this piece.

Verse One

Walking in sunlight all of my journey, Over the mountains thru the deep vale.

Jesus has said, “I’ll never forsake thee,” Promise divine that never can fail.

Chorus:

Heavenly sunlight, heavenly sunlight, Flooding my soul with glory divine.

Hallelujah! I am rejoicing; Singing His praises Jesus is mine.

Verse Two

Shadows around me, shadows above me

Never conceal my Savior and Guide, He is the light; in Him is no darkness. Ever I’m walking close to His side!

    Hi Jenifer; It is Sunday morning, and I should be rushing around getting ready to play (the organ) in not just one church, but two churches here in rural Pennsylvania. I would grab Louise right away to try to find how to buy this wonderful new arrangement, but she is working on her hair right now.

    I remember singing this hymn in the early 1950s. What a joy to take a stroll down “memory lane”. In my opinion, this song, and your arrangement are virtually perfect for taking the load of concerns off my shoulders and placing them right at the foot of the cross. I especially like that 2nd verse where the hymn writer says “He (our blessed Savior) is the light, in Him is NO DARKNESS, ever I’m walking close to His side”.

    May the Savior give YOU, “strength for today, bright hope for tomorrow, and 10,000 blessing beside”.

    Beautiful arrangement, Jenifer. I keep saying that I’m not buying anymore music…but I think I need this one “Heavenly Sunlight.” ~my grand dad’s favorite hymn.
