This arrangement of “Only Trust Him” is in my Piano Invitation Collection which was published several years ago.

Most of the invitation hymns in this collection have already been published as individual arrangements.

I have three more to publish as solos asap!

Only Trust Him

Early advanced sacred piano solo arranged by Jenifer Cook. Contains: Opening chorus, verse one/chorus and verse two and chorus. 3 pages in F Major throughout.

I’m trying to find a clamp on piano lamp for our grand piano at church.

I’ve looked on Amazon’s site thus far. (I like having the option to plug it in.)

Any church pianist have a suggestion for a good performing piano lamp of this nature?

The only downside to clamp on lamps…they block my view of the song leader and sometimes the special depending where they are on stage.

I’m always writing music for someone or an event.  Here’s an arrangement I happened across today.

This particular hymn, Redeemed, is an old hymn that contains a fairly narrow note range…making it easier to sing.

I wrote this arrangement for another pianist to use when accompanying my youngest son with his wife and son.

The pianist said it worked well for her.  She also mentioned that the original key of the song was a little too high for my grandson.

So….of course Grandma had to write it in a more comfortable key.  I wrote it in the key of  G Major… just a little lower than the original key.

I also tried to adhere to the original chording so my daughter-in-law could sing the written alto from the hymnal.

Special Note!

I apologize for not posting anything lately.  My dad was hospitalized last week unexpectedly and so I stayed through last week to help them out.

I returned just yesterday and now helping out with grand kids while my oldest son is getting a back issue treated.  I should be able to start posting again by this Friday.

I do enjoy posting articles and writing music but my family comes first.  Thanks for your understanding.  By the way, LOVE the encouraging notes that many of you have written. Thank you SO much!  That’s what keeps me writing! 🙂

Meryt Wilson, one of my dear piano friends and myself, try to get together at least once a year to boost our music creativity.  This year we decided to discuss the topic of “Accompanying Vocal Specials”.

I’ll be sharing video excerpts of our discussion along the way.

We usually spend the day sight reading each other’s books that may be new to us. We also enjoy playing spontaneous numbers as you will see below.

Meryt has been playing for church since at least junior high age. She also taught piano at Ambassador Baptist College for a number of years in addition to giving private piano lessons.
