Scales in Hymns (Part Three)… Upcoming Article
I plan to post part three of scales in hymns by the end of this week.
Some church pianists may not understand where to insert a scale in a hymn.
Scales can be placed in several different places in a hymn. The upcoming article will show the church pianist how to add a scale to the very first measure of a hymn!
Looking forward to sharing the examples with you!

Always look forward to promised articles, Jenifer! I also have been meaning to comment and thank you for the larger ‘font’ [is that the right term for music?] in your recent arrangements…..so much easier to read!
Lord bless you richly…great work!
I am so excited about this upcoming post. Thank you 🙂
Thanks Shirley!
Hmmm..not sure about the larger font. I haven’t changed anything.
That’s interesting. I wonder if you’re using a different browser. (?)
Unless, you’re referring to the scale examples in part two of scales in hymns.
If so, that’s because I took a picture of each example versus my pdf format arrangements with Finale.
Thanks Rhonda too for your encouraging words 🙂

I did it!!! In the song Calvary Covers it All I put a D scale starting with “heart” all the way up to the B melody note in the upper register 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration. I have always known that scales or runs are a weakness I need to address. Still looking forward to today’s post!
Way to go Rhonda! I’ll have to go look at “Calvary Covers it All” to see right where that is.
It’s so much fun to dress up a hymn to enhance the message:)
