Meryt Wilson, one of my dear piano friends and myself, try to get together at least once a year to boost our music creativity.  This year we decided to discuss the topic of “Accompanying Vocal Specials”.

I’ll be sharing video excerpts of our discussion along the way.

We usually spend the day sight reading each other’s books that may be new to us. We also enjoy playing spontaneous numbers as you will see below.

Meryt has been playing for church since at least junior high age. She also taught piano at Ambassador Baptist College for a number of years in addition to giving private piano lessons.

  Special note:  I’m almost finished editing my Dad’s song “His Name is Wonderful to Me”.  I hope to publish this song tomorrow!  (Sunday August 18,2019)

I arranged “Jesus Loves Even Me” with a teacher/student scenario in mind which worked well for this Grandma & grand daughter team. This was their first time to play together. Exciting!  (To be published hopefully by this weekend…August 4, 2018)

Pastor’s Mom and youngest daughter, Debra Bixler and Allissa Bixler played for the offertory this past Sunday morning.

It’s a joy to see family take part in the music ministry of the church!

Just had to share one of my favorite transitional parts of the “Gesu Bambino” two piano arrangement. I will be entering this arrangement in the Holiday Arranging competition hosted by SMPress.

I have been spending time adding a few things to my music store. Several audio samples have been added to existing arrangements.

The newest piano duo arrangement was just added today. It’s a piano duo of “Since I Have Been Redeemed”.

This arrangement is one of our church’s favorite offertories.  The piano duo is very lively and easy to learn in a short amount of time.
