Upcoming Arrangement: O Store Gud

Sunday, March 11th, 2012

After publishing a video of me playing “How Great Thou Art” in a nursing home…I began receiving requests on youtube and my website for a copy of this arrangement.¬† The funny thing about this arrangement…it was spontaneous.

After at least two years in the make (on and off–during this time frame)…I am about to put the finishing touches on this arrangement. It will be available by March 15th !

Keep in mind…the arrangement of “How Great Thou Art” won’t be exact note for note as played but…will be VERY close ūüôā It took me about 20 minutes to re-create about 3 measures at a time.¬† I would watch my youtube video by the piano and pause ALOT to write what I heard.

Thanks to all who encouraged me to write this arrangement of “How Great Thou Art”.

I enjoy playing medleys for offertory. The following arrangement entitled “Prayer Medley” contains two hymns that are very dear to my heart.

piano with shadow

I have been spending time adding a few things to my music store. Several audio samples have been added to existing arrangements.

The newest piano duo¬†arrangement was just added today. It’s a piano duo of “Since I Have Been Redeemed”.

This arrangement is¬†one of our church’s favorite offertories.¬† The piano duo¬†is very lively and easy to learn in a short amount of time.

The Church Pianist: O Holy Night in A Flat

Friday, December 18th, 2009

O Holy Night has a wide note range! As a church pianist, I usually have to lower this song for vocalists.

Maybe you can use  this simple piano arrangement as either a piano solo or vocal accompaniment.

This is part one of O Holy Night.

I’m working on several future articles at the moment and thought I’d share a video of one of my piano arrangements: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”.

Once again, you’ll observe how the personal interpretation (variable speeds and volumes) brings the message of the song to life.
