An advanced sacred piano arrangement of “There’s Within My Heart a Melody” is now available in the music store.

The story behind the creation of  this particular hymn deeply touched my heart as I hope it will yours. 

This joyful hymn was birthed from a very tragic accident.  The author, Luther Bridgers, was known for his energetic and sincere preaching.  At the age of 26 in 1910…Luther lost his wife and three young children to a housefire while visiting his in-laws.

Luther felt overwhelmed with sorrow but remembered the Lord promised he would never leave or forsake him. 

In the midst of his grieving, Luther was still able to penn these words:

“There’s within my heart a melody, Jesus whispers sweet and low.

Fear not, I am with thee, peace be still. In all of life’s ebb and flow.”

I’ve been working on a new advanced piano offertory for church pianists. ”There’s Within My Heart a Melody” is a very uplifting hymn.  I plan to publish this  arrangement in the music store by this weekend.

The story behind ”There’s Within My Heart a Melody” is not what you would expect.  I will share this amazing  story very soon.

As a church pianist, I’m always seeking new piano offertories. I’m sure you all have the same need. Therefore, I’m trying to provide more offertory arrangements as time permits.

Several church pianistshave asked about this arrangement.  This particular one has been set aside for an advanced book  to be published through Soundforth sometime in the future.

 In time, I’ll provide some more videos with helpful information for church pianists. (I’m a little camera-shy…so it takes me a while)

I have been spending time adding a few things to my music store. Several audio samples have been added to existing arrangements.

The newest piano duo arrangement was just added today. It’s a piano duo of “Since I Have Been Redeemed”.

This arrangement is one of our church’s favorite offertories.  The piano duo is very lively and easy to learn in a short amount of time.

As a church pianist, I usually have to lower this song for vocalists.
